Mbete Cup 2022: Yet another great succes

Sunshine, big smiles, and beautiful football. For the 4th year in a row, Mbete Cup gave us much more than we could ever ask for.

Saturday the 13th of August, around 150 football players – male and females - gathered in Lersøparken, Copenhagen, to fight for the prestigious Mbete Cup trophies!

As the previous years, CopenFalster FF organized most of the event and made sure everything went as planned. Without the tireless efforts from CopenFalster FF, Mbete Cup wouldn’t exist. We therefore humbly wish to acknowledge the enormous effort that CopenFalster FF once again has made: Thank you!

On the playing field, players from CopenFalster FF (under the name of Suomi) proved to be the best playing team and won the male’s tournament.  In the women’s tournament, 4 teams fought for the title with No Name coming out as well-deserved champions after a final win against Finland.

This year, Mbete Youth Football Project received 9000 kroner (app. 20.000 ZMK) from Mbete Cup. The income generated from Mbete Cup 2022 will be used to pay our coaches, organize English classes, travel to remote areas for away games and much, much more!
